3 Good Things – January 27
January has been an amazing month as I have spent it traveling all over – Banff and Lake Louise in Canada, New York and then Hong Kong. A truly fabulous time and a great way to start the New Year with a bang! I hope you have had a fabulous month too. Here in my new blog, I will share with you 3 good things I have been enjoying. I hope you will find them of interest, and that they may inspire you to try something new, look at something differently, or just give you some food for thought. Here they, enjoy!
# 1 My New Green Guru
It’s official, I have a new girl crush – Kimberly Snyder! I picked up Kim’s book when I was in New York a few weeks ago, and I am officially in love with her She is a nutritionist to the stars, and has written this amazing book that covers just about everything you could ever want to know about living well through eating clean, green and fabulous. I can’t recommend this book, or Kim, highly enough. Check it all out here.
# 2 My Latest Juice Cleanse
I arrived home from my 4 week holiday on Wednesday this week, and after too many weeks of indulging, I knew I would need a pretty good clean out to get me back on my health and wellbeing track! So when I was away I booked a one day juice cleanse, which I did yesterday. Now I have tried so many cleanses it’s not funny. This time, I just wanted something light and easy, and short so as to not overwhelm my jet lagged soul. So I did the Urban Remedy one day cleanse yesterday. You essentially drink 6 juices over the course of the day, and lot’s of water and herbal tea. I find it pretty easy to do a one day stint, and this one was smooth. A nice smoothie for breakie, then a bunch of juices, and a beautiful nut milk and cacao drink before bed. I highly recommend doing a cleanse every now and then, it really helps me feel like I have been cleaned from the inside out, literally. There are tons of ways to do a cleanse, and many companies popping up now who home deliver to make it even easier. This is the one I did yesterday – get your juice on and check them out here.
# 3 Travel Hot Spots
Looking for a hotel on your next trip, then check these ones out. For anyone traveling to Hong Kong, I highly recommend the Marco Polo Hotel in Kowloon. We stayed here this week – the service was impeccable, the rooms large, the view of the harbour exceptional, and the location central. I don’t usually rave about hotels but this one was truly great. Whilst I am at it, let me add in the Fairmont Hotels I stayed in in Banff and Lake Louise Canada. Oh my! Beautiful hotels, magical locations, great service and all the trappings of the five star hotel experience. I would head back there tomorrow (minus the travel time!). The mineral spa at the Banff Springs hotel is truly world class.
