Well hello there. Down here in beautiful Australia it’s Spring! That makes me so happy I can’t even tell you. I love all of the seasons, but there is something magical that happens when the freesias start to bloom and the ocean gets that little bit warmer that just lights me up. Spring is full of possibilities and that’s exactly how I feel right now.

August has been a beautiful month for me, after the rumble and tumble of the past six months. I went to Byron and wrote all about that and the changes I made coming back. I had so many emails in response, it clearly hit a note with many of you. I hope since reading it you may have had the time to create some space for yourself, in whatever way is available to you right now.

You will be interested perhaps to know that I have stuck to my new commitments since coming home, and am still going strong. One of my clients called yesterday to set up a meeting for next week, and was impressed when I said “I can do anytime after 10am”. We laughed about it, and of course there is always the exception you need to make, but so far, it’s making all the difference in the world, to my creativity and levels of serenity.

I’ve been completely thrilled over the past few weeks with the reception that my new book Lead Like A Woman is getting. It just hit book stores in Australia, and is available on Booktopia, Amazon, Kindle. Women have started sharing their pics with me on Instagram, emailing me their comments, and organizations have been sending in their orders from anywhere from 10 copies for a small team to 300 for a women’s leadership program. We are feeling so blessed with the response. If you haven’t checked it out yet, click the links above, or head over the website to download your first two chapters for free. So here is the Round Up and some of the things I have been loving this past month.

 

Event Announcement!

I always get asked when I am doing a public event that you can actually come along to, as so much of my speaking is in corporates or big conferences. Well I am STOKED to announce that I am doing a very special event that if you are in Sydney or can get to Sydney, you simply must come to.

It is called RISE, hosted by the exquisite Bec from Soul Sister Circle and is being held on the Spring Equinox. Friday 23 September. It is a celebration of all that is the divine feminine, and there will be talks by myself and the inspirational Julie Parker, delightful conversation and discussion, as well as beautiful organic food, wine, dancing and celebration. This is an event for women, to celebrate sisterhood and to honour everything about being a woman. It is going to be truly wonderful. I hope you can join us (I hear that tickets are selling fast and are limited so please gather your girlfriends, and book now).

My New Podcast!

I have just launched my new Podcast channel: Women, Leadership & Work. Packed with awesome interviews with incredible women, you can listen through my web page or subscribe on iTunes and never miss an episode.

I have just released yesterday a new episode with Lee Holmes on using food as medicine. Packed with wisdom for your health and happiness, how to release your battle with food and finally nourish yourself, it is filled with inspiration for you.

I need your help! I would love it if my podcast could be featured in the New and Noteworthy section on iTunes so that more women have the chance to discover it. In order to be featured, we need reviews. And the more reviews, the better. I was also interviewed this past month for a beautiful podcast called The League of Extraordinary Introverts with Katherine Mackenzie-Smith. We had the most fascinating conversation about being a borderline introvert (yes, I am often mistaken for an extrovert), and how to thrive in a world that gets noisier by the minute. Things I’m loving this month

Here are some resources for you this month that might be of interest, provide inspiration, or just a bit of light entertainment!

 

Listening

This month I haven’t been so big on the podcasts, but have been back on my audio books on long walks, especially whilst in Byron. My favourite at the moment is Warrior Goddess Training by HeatherAsh Amara through Sounds True.

I’ve also been listening a lot to my Sacred Earth playlist on Spotify which is calming and brings me into the feminine energy I am cultivating at the moment. Beautiful for writing, journaling or just being. If you friend me on Spotify you should be able to download this playlist for yourself…..here’s hoping anyway!

 

Self care

I have been back into my yoga practice this last month and loving it. I am aiming for two to three classes a week, as well as my daily little practices on my mat at home. It makes such a difference. Aiming to keep up that commitment to myself over the next few months when I have a lot of speaking gigs and events happening.

I’ve also been doing lots of walking, and just having idle time. You know, that time when nothing is planned and you can be instead of do. It may be a distant memory for you and if it is that’s ok – but try over the next month to create space for it, even in very small amounts.

Also getting back heavily into my green smoothies to boost up those antioxidants for Spring! Here is my latest favourite, which I make in the NutriBullet.

1 cup mixed frozen berries

1 cup baby spinach

2 cups filtered water

1 tbs hemp seeds

handful of gogi berries

pinch Maca powder

1 tsp Acai powder

Blend and enjoy!

Well that’s probably enough for now, although I could go on and on with all the things I am playing with. Next month I will tell you more about one of my favourite self practices, aromatherapy oils, and how I use them for health and balance. And I have a really exciting new program coming up next year, an exclusive and sacred way to work with me face to face over the course of ten months, for an intimate group of ten women. I am hoping I will be ready to share that with you next month, to get ready the start date in February. I am as excited about this journey about anything I have done in the past few years, perhaps even more so, so I can’t wait to share all with you.
